Having just finished making a list of songs for tomorrow for the kids and their school disco i think i deserve a small break to breathe out after the first day after the holidays (even though i did cut some slack in form of some gaming too). My day wasn't really that long but i spent a good while putting stuff that was long due into some shape and correcting tests. Also i had to hunt down some ice cream and look around for some stuff for a coming Halloween party with my girl. I guess i also feel pretty happy for a couple of my friends. I don't know why it is, but it seems like there has been so much trouble in so many forms for so many, and now finally life is taking a victory of those things.
But so, the autumn holidays passed by peacefully and calmly. I didn't really much even touch the computer during the whole time. I simply didn't feel like i needed to. We did a lot despite letting the days pass by slowly. It's actually pretty neat how much you can get done when you don't have to spend every second moment worrying about something.
We had a nice evening with board games, met the people at the drama club again (interestingly enough with close to no results whatsoever on the projects which led to some frustration), cooked food and ate lots of ice cream. The highlight was the carnival of lights at Linnanmäki, the amusement park in Helsinki. The city really looks pretty different when seen from above at night.
It's not always the big picture.
It's them small things.
