Why and where from?
On Friday i managed to sneak a little leave for myself from work since i had to go and do the driving on the slippery track. In a way it made my day a bit longer but since it turned out to be pretty fun i wont complain about it. We got to see how humongous a moose is compared to a car and how a car easily turns into a raisin in an accident. I got to sit in a car that got turned upside down and had to ninja myself loose from the seat belt and out the windows. And also saw what slamming into object at already low speeds could do to you. Great fun!
Well it was all interesting but the real fun started on the driving track. It was like driving on the worst type of ice since the track is made out of metal plates covered in oil. I did fairly well so i got some room to play around and try a few things with the car and so i left the track pretty content.
I ate my first real meal of the day out in a park while she wanted to take some photos. The photos turned out pretty fine if you ask me. :P The evening and the following day we spent cozily at home, with a little bit of drama club meeting and dining in between.
Last night i got to do my second gig. Thats when shit hit the fan. I arrived with just enough time to set up my own system. This was good but i clearly had forgotten about Murphy and his law. For some reason the soundsystem was blasting out music in the hallways and toilets at full power and the mixer gave out terrible distortion on one channel. So what i had to do was play music from only one deck instead of two (which made me sound like an iTunes playlist) while simultaneously hugging the mixer and drowning in cabel spaghetti. When this was done i had to hectically work out the right knob (out of a gazillion) to mange the hallway and toilets with. With a some brain and a bit more luck i managed with it without cutting of the sound from the dancefloor. And when i finally thought i'd sorted it all i got word from a customer that the speakers on the dancefloor gave shittier sound than the speakers above the tables. GREAT! When i was done with all this i was so in my finale that the rest of the gig i went trough half comatose. I guess all was good at the end of the night but i learned a valuable lesson about remembering to soundcheck different parts of the soundsystem (not forgetting toilets) separately before a gig. :D
Now back to finnish grammar with the girl. She's glancing at me with apretty upset expression. :P
